Last weekend, we ventured downtown San Diego and enjoyed some good food and good times near the coast.  We stopped at the farmer's market first to admire the many works of art, and then walked the marina, enjoying all of the characters along our path.  There's a man who paints himself silver and acts like a statue, then there's the balloon enthusiast, and a retired vet who shares his collection of exotic birds with passersby.  The boys really liked the birds, but Karrington is a little more like her mother, and she was unsure of the whole experience.  Birds are nice to watch, but 'up close and personal' is not my cup of tea.   Locals sell everything from tie-dyed shirts, to hula hoops, kites, hats, bracelets and capes.  Anderson had to have the Nacho Libre cape.  It's one of his favorite movies, and he's now completely embraced the opportunity to explore his inner 'Nacho.'  He's a character!  And we are still thoroughly enjoying his T-ball experience.  During one of the games,  I overheard the coach ask one of the players while up to bat, "oh, so we're left-handed today, huh?"  It's so fun to watch these little ones learn this game!
